Richard D. Thomas was raised in a small town in the San Joaquin Valley of California. He began painting as a hobby while working as a high-tech defense equipment contractor. After starting to paint full time, he showed his work at hotels, shopping malls and convention centers. Eventually, Richard found success, and his paintings now hang in major private collections and have been exhibited at prestigious shows."At the River's Bend" depicts two Native American warriors on horseback, a frequent subject of Richard's work.
