"Moving to the Herd" Original Oil Painting by Carol Swinney
Carol Swinney lives on a large cattle ranch outside of Casper, Wyoming, where she was born and raised. This environment has given her a deep-rooted love of the West, its landscape and wildlife. Carol paints using a pallet knife, which gives her work amazing texture, rich colors and dramatic depth. She prefers to paint on location at such places as Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado and the Grand Teton Mountains in Wyoming."Moving to the Herd" was inspired by Carol's love for the Jackson Hole and Teton area. She saw this buffalo while painting on location near Mount Lighty.
